Cocktails and celeb spotting was fantastic! Bar crowd was fun. Concierge was really helpful and restaurant suggestions very great. Free bubbles and choc strawberries for my birthday!!
Expensive wifi in room. Lack of storage space / hanging space for luggage.

The location
1. My wife and I arrived at the hotel and the room was not ready for more than 3 hours 2. There was bad odor in the hallway and in the room. 3. I have ordered my CAR and the operator told me at it well be arriving in 15 min and when we went down the car was not there.

Great staff, brilliant location.
Well I guess everything on NYC is expensive however I was a little jealous of my friends staying at the 'R' (Renaissance hotel) a few steps closer to times square and the bar was about the best in NY! Although our room was better than their. Much more chic design.

Location is fantastic: right on the corner of Time Square, which is amazing for shows, shopping, etc. Reasonably sized rooms (I booked a "spectacular" room on the 33th floor. View was ok but far from spectacular. Reception staff was very well trained and helpful. I noticed two errors on the bill reflecting some double counting of internet and film charges, but the person on duty dealt with it professionally and without any discussion. I also appreciated that you can print your boarding pass for free from the business centre - considering that everything else has to be paid extra. Very good breakfast choice and quality (I didn't take other meals there).
You need to pay for everything : no free wifi access, no coffee machine in rooms, no free bottle of water, not even a chocolate on the pillow! Given the room price, a little gesture would have been appreciated. This makes this hotel more expensive in the end that other hotels of this category. In-room breakfast comes with a 20% service charge and $5 tip already included, with a note saying that 100% of the service goes to "our talent". I naively thought that the $5 compulsory tip would be enough (for a $25 breakfast), until I was given a nasty look by one representative of the "talent" on the first day. So I added another $5 tip on the following days, which, combined with the other charges, ended up adding 60% to the cost of my breakfast.

it was smart, stylish, modern and relaxed. Our room/suite on the 47th floor had amazing views. The children loved the glamour. The staff were polite, responsive and always helpful. The reception let us check out 1.5 hrs later than usual. One of the cleaning staff proudly showed me around a Wow suit telling me "this is my favourite because this is my floor" - bless. Really couldn't fault anything, and the Blue Fin restaurant does a great breakfast as well as great sushi.

the Location was perfect especially if you stepped out of the hotel you will find your self in the Middle of the times square, the room was little bit small but it's fair enough
yes, the chargeable for the internet connection, it should be free many hotels in the area was

The design of the reception area was good along with the use of colours. Also the technology levels provided in the rooms was good.
I did not like the fact that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Although we received use of a coffe maker, no further supplies of tea and coffee were provided other than on the first day ( we stayed 5 nights) despite numerous requests.

Location! Location! Location! I wil stay there again if the right package is avaiable.
The elevator stopping on the 7th foor and having to walk through a noisy and busy evening martini bar to get to the room elevator. No free internet access.

Location! We wanted to see Broadway plays, and it was a great location for that.We also took some day trips using the Long Island Railroad, and it was convenient for that also.
Had a problem with a doorman after we checked out and asked for a cab to JFK (he put us in a vehile that was not a cab). This would not prevent me from staying in the hotel again - we spoke to the hotel management once we got home and promised they would take care of it; the rest of the staff was quite good.
-
The location was excellent and decor was nice.
Roaches in my room and no fridge in the room.
-
The location was excellent and for a New York hotel the room was really large.
Some staff were indifferent almost rude, others were excellent so there was great variation in the service standard. Some mornings we received the complimentary paper, others not. Overall the was inconsistency in service standards.

Location
Booked and prepaid for a a room with two double beds for 4persons, also booked another room for another two persons which was confirmed via email. Arrived to learn that the hotel overbooked, so we had to settle for room with one bed and twin roll out bed (two teenagers had to share twin bed). This is unacceptable on all levels, especially in view of the fact that we had to prepay with no refund option. When I asked the hotel to offer a discount in fairness , I was told they could do that as room was booked through a third party and was given a complimentary breakfast. I will definately not be staying at any W anywhere again.

Excellent location, right by Times Square. The moment we stepped out, we were in the middle of it all! Starbucks right opposite for a quick breakfast. Staff was friendly.
Rooms were very small. Had a Spectacular Double room to fit my 2 kids, my husband and I. My elder son had to sleep on the floor because the bed was just not big enough to fit him and another adult. I had housekeeping bring me 2 extra duvets which I laid on the floor for him to sleep on. We had just come from w Taipei which was out of this world, w New York was nothing compared to it.

Drunk men were put into room next to me and kept me awake for 2 hours Sat night. I had to call security at 4:30 AM to get them to take care of. The hotel gave me breakfast and more points but it was not a good situation.
